Praise You: What I Wore

I had absolutely no intention of blogging this outfit. Honestly, the last week that I've been back at work since bed rest has been more about getting through each day rather than being terribly adorable, but as I was racing around the courthouse, trying to figure out what was going on with my case, a court officer pulled me aside.

There tend to be only a few court officers that rotate throughout our courthouse. I know most of them by name and joke around with several of them. This particular officer does not fall into either of those categories so I was a little confused when he asked to talk to me.

He said, "I don't quite know how to say this without sounding weird, but you look really nice today."

Aw! What a nice little ego boost! I love a good compliment!

Blouse, Ann Taylor
Field Skirt, Anthropologie
Hue Tights, Macys
AK Anne Klein heels, Macys
Necklace, Gift from Andie
Earrings, Target

These tights always tend to draw some comments as well. Unfortunately I didn't realize that they were a bit twisted when I took the photo. Luckily I addressed this issue early on in the day.

One of the major downsides of bed rest (and of ovarian hyperstimulation and of drinking 1000 calories of Gatorade a day) is that I've gained a few pounds so all I can say is: Thank goodness I finally gave the Field Skirt and it's elastic waist a second chance! You might be seeing a lot more of this skirt in the next couple of weeks!

Happy Monday!

  1. You do look really nice today! : ) I agree the Field Skirt is so comfy. Sometimes you just need a stretchy skirt, and it happens to also be cute!

I welcome all types of comments and feedback. However, I do ask that you be polite and respectful.

This is my blog and I reserve the right to delete comments that are personal attacks of anyone, are rude, or are otherwise inappropriate.

And honesty, if you are someone who gets your jollies from anonymously commenting on Internet blogs, you have much bigger problems than anything that you could write about me here.

If you have a problem with that, start your own blog! As Marshall Erickson would say, "Lawyered!"
