Now Christmas is upon us in full force and I'm feeling rather ill prepared. Last evening, I shoddily put together my own Christmas list to pass along to Husband while he did the same for me. And while I have about half of my Christmas gift shopping complete, I don't even know what I want to get the other half of my family!
Typically I implement a shopping ban in December lest I accidentally buy myself something that I'm receiving for Christmas. But this week I simply couldn't stop myself from making two purchases.
First, my Alice in Autumn Sweatercoat which went on sale just two days after I decided that I just had to own it. Today's outfit was really just a delivery mechanism for my lovely new purchase and it worked like a charm: I got tons of compliments!
I also took the opportunity to wear the herringbone tights that had scared me off earlier in the week (click here).
Sweaterdress, Ann Taylor
Alice in Autumn Sweatercoat, Anthropologie (on sale here)
Hue Tights, Macy's
Necklace, Gift from Andie at What Andie Wears
Earrings, Handmade by my sister-in-law
Rampage Shoes, Endless
The second item I bought?
Save Me Christmas cards!
I was so excited to see these cards available because back when I met Dr. May in July (click here), I mentioned that I thought note cards would be a great merchandising opportunity for his campaign! Though I'm sure it's not the case, I've decided to give myself partial credit for the idea of selling Christmas cards.
And after I placed my order, I was excited to learn that actual note cards will be available soon for which I will take full credit!
You're welcome, Dr. May!
You can buy your own Save Me Christmas cards (along with other merchandise) here.
Happy Friday!

Oh, you definitely should take credit for both types of cards! Glad you got the sweatercoat; the color is so pretty on you. I wore the same tights yesterday and I got many compliments :-)
ReplyDeleteI am glad you got the Alice coat too because it's so pretty on you!
ReplyDeleteKathleen, the sweatercoat looks just amazing on you! I love the whole outfit. I love my Alice. I can't stop wearing her.
ReplyDeleteOne of my fave outfits on you, Kathleen! You look chic and classic yet fun and flirty - I love this!
ReplyDeleteHey, so cool! This is an amazing outfit. You look glamorous. You definitely figured out what works with those tights.
ReplyDeleteMom - Ha I'm totally taking credit in my mind, but officially here I'm only taking partial credit! LOL Glad the tights were a hit!
ReplyDeleteTricia - Thanks! Of course now the temperature has dropped to near freezing levels so I'm going to have to think creatively if I want to get more wear out of it!
Lorraine - Thanks! You are part of the reason why I even gave this sweatercoat a second look. You look so great in yours!
Lisa - Thanks! I forget sometimes that simple can be awesome too!
Lady Cardigan - Thanks! :) Maybe next time I won't be so intimidated by the tights!
