And frankly, for the cost of some of the stuff, I'd rather spend just a bit more and know that I'm getting higher quality.
However, for some reason, when vacation rolls around, I'm an Old Navy kind of gal.
This year I found two items, each originally $15. I used a Banana Republic rewards card and got $10 off so $20 for a skirt and a bathing suit cover-up/dress for $20 total. Not too shabby!
Pop of Posies Halter, Anthropologie, size 8
Skirt, Old Navy, size Medium
Shoes, Kenneth Cole Reaction, size 9
How versatile is this skirt going to be? I bought it thinking it could be a good beach cover-up, but throw on a dressier top and shoes and I'm ready for a nice evening out!
Cover-up/Dress, Old Navy, size Medium
Sandals, Reef, size 9
This dress is my designer impostor version of Anthropologie's Gossamer Waves Dress. I had tried that on and liked it ages ago but $88 for a simple sundress is just a bit much. I'd seen these cover-ups at Old Navy earlier in the summer, but tried on a Large which was, predictably, huge. I wasn't in the mood that day to try on a Medium, but when I went back a second time, I grabbed a Medium right away. As I stood on line, I panicked over the color I was buying. I had blue in my hands, but did I want green...or maybe pink? Eeek! Before I could talk myself out of blue, it was my turn and I was out of time to design. I'm happy with the blue though so I'm glad I didn't change my mind at the last minute.
This is my last full post before I'm back from vacation on Monday afternoon. I hope to have tons of pictures and fun stories to share with everyone, but until then enjoy the rest of your weekend!
