It's Late: What I Wore (erm...yesterday)

Only a few days left to enter Princess of Taylor's first giveaway. Click here for details and to enter!

Also click here to read my review of It's Late which was my very first Queen song of the week. Unfortunately it's not on any of Queen's greatest hits albums (but it really should be!)

So yesterday was just as hectic as I assumed it would be: I had to be in Boston at 9am which meant 2.5 hours of rush hour traffic. Then my conference ran late so I didn't even get into my car to leave the city until 6pm. And then it was 2.5 hours of rush hour traffic back home. Needless to say, I got home, ate leftovers for dinner, watched Netflix episodes of It's Garry Shandling's Show with Husband, and crawled off to bed before 10pm.

I can report that I finally received two much anticipated packages last evening - one of which was from Arizona and caused me to squeal when I saw it! I'll do some reveals in the next few days to watch out for that!

Here's what I wore to the conference yesterday. It's always really interesting to see what folks wear to these things. Basically to practice in my area of the law in my state you have to get a certain number of credit hours each year. They are big conferences (200-300 people) so it's not like we're all gathered around the table informally and need to dress to impress or anything. That said, there's usually about 20% of people in suits. This seems excessive to me especially since I'm driving so far to get to the conference and it was 85 degrees yesterday. Another 20% of the people look like they are wearing what they slept in the night before. This is, of course, never acceptable in Kathleen-world. Finally, there's the remaining 60% of us: somewhat casual, but still relatively work appropriate.

My iPhone shots have been looking rather grainy lately. Perhaps my phone is trying to suggest that I pull the trigger on a remote for Husband's video camera so I can take pictures that actually have my face in them and aren't of me in a mirror. It is also ridiculously difficult to take pictures of my jewelry - I seriously sit in front of the mirror a good 2-3 minutes trying to get all the necessary items in the shot. That also may be because I'm incompetent!Hmmm...
I'll post what I'm wearing today later this afternoon along with the rest of my Anthropologie reviews from this past weekend! Tomorrow I'm taking the day off because Husband's big 30th Birthday Celebration is tomorrow night and I have to do some last minute preparation (including making a super yummy mocha cake!)

Happy Thursday!

  1. I LOVE that top! Can you share the brand (like Deletta, etc.) if it's on the tag?

  2. The Reverie Top is by Weston Wear - it was just in stores a few months back so you still might be able to score it as a popback or on ebay. Good luck! :)

I welcome all types of comments and feedback. However, I do ask that you be polite and respectful.

This is my blog and I reserve the right to delete comments that are personal attacks of anyone, are rude, or are otherwise inappropriate.

And honesty, if you are someone who gets your jollies from anonymously commenting on Internet blogs, you have much bigger problems than anything that you could write about me here.

If you have a problem with that, start your own blog! As Marshall Erickson would say, "Lawyered!"
