Queen News a.k.a. New Anthropologie Arrivals: What I Wore

I'm sure you are all reading the title of this post and saying, "What!?!?!" But hear me out.

Observe the new Anthropologie dress that appeared on the website this morning: the Drawing Parallels Dress ($178). Also observe the Curated Tee ($48), available in a variety of colors, but shown here in Brown Motif.

Now observe the shirt that RT wore - several times throughout the 1980s, but most notably - at Queen's 1986 concert at Wembley Stadium which was filmed and released on DVD as Queen: Live at Wembley Stadium (see here to purchase DVD and see here to watch a performance from the show where RT is wearing the infamous shirt).

Looks like someone at Anthropologie has been going through the Queen archives for ideas! Drawing parallels indeed!

I also have a mega crush on the Courtship Blooms Knit (eh eh - did you see what I did there? Oh I amuse myself). Could this little pretty be my answer to the Climbing Cowlneck and the Rare Bloom Tee (no longer online but see similar Midnight Roses Top), neither of which looked nice on me, and my pretty pretty Hourglass Surplice that I waited to long to order in teal and is now sold out!

And the Coulis Cardigan? It will be mine - oh yes, it will be mine. This little lovely with my Acting Out Skirt? *Dies!*

I had an adorable little outfit all picked out for today, but when I woke up it was raining again. I wasn't going to back down this morning though - No, I thought to myself, there is no reason why a massive rainstorm should keep you from looking cute!

My shoes are absolutely awesome so here's a close-up. I was looking for a pair of multi-colored wedges last year. Everything was floral and as cute as they were in the box, on my feet, I felt like a grandmother. I was thisclose to pulling the trigger on a floral pair at DSW and then decided to head to Macy's for one more look. These were on display and I just knew they had to be mine.

They are completely and utterly ridiculous, but I love them and every time I wear them somebody comments. They are a satin fabric material so no worries about the rain damaging them and they show off my pretty pink toes. Perfection!
