I hope you all had a great weekend! I had a fabulous time at my princess dinner. There was tons of yummy food, great company, mini princesses playing with dog toys - all in all a great night! This is what I wore:
Dress, Ann Taylor Loft, size Medium (available here)
Cardigan, Geoffrey Beane outlet, size Large (from spring 2008)
Necklace, Ann Taylor Loft (from spring 2010)
Sandals, Oka Bee Marion (Hot Chocolate with Leopard Crystal), size Large (available here)
While out on Saturday night, one of the princesses mentioned a race in Long Island in October - it's a half marathon with a diva theme (click here for details). Sprinkled throughout the course are stations where runners can acquire tiaras and feather boas! Now granted my last half marathon experience did not end well and as I
crossed crawled across the finish line, I vowed to never do another half marathon again, but my long runs have been comfortable at 8 miles lately and all the other princesses are thinking about doing it and I really need to run in a race where my need for a feather boa midway through the course is acknowledged. So stay tuned to find out if this Princess of Taylor will be graduating in ranks to a Diva of Taylor soon!
Today I was supposed to have a hearing that settled at the last minute. I auditioned about five different outfits in my mind before finally settling on this one. I'm not sure what my issue was - usually I have one item in my mind that I want to wear each day so I just build an outfit around that. Today, however, I was open to anything so I think I just had too many options!
Sweater, Banana Republic, size Medium (from fall 2009)
Skirt, Banana Republic, size 14 (from spring 2008)
Shoes, AK Anne Klein, size 9 (from fall 2009)
Stretch pearl bracelets
Over the weekend, my fellow princesses mentioned that they can rarely see the photos of my jewelry in my What I Wore posts. I am going to try to make an effort to get my necklaces in the shot, but there's really no way to get a good picture of my outfit that includes my earrings. So just assume that if I say my earrings are from Kohls and the rest of my jewelry is silver, I'm wearing these earrings. If the rest of my jewelry is gold, I'm wearing the exact same things in gold. Deal?
Happy Monday, everyone!
