I'm Stylish! Polka Dots

So I got an email from White House Black Market recently directing me to the page above. If there's anything I adore more than ruffles, it's polka dots. And ruffles and polka dots in the same outfit - ohmygosh I'd die a happy woman!

As an aside, if anybody has any idea where I can get a black/white Floreat Rhythmic Blouse, size 10, I need that information stat. Seriously. *drools*

I completely acknowledge that I've been going a little overboard on the ruffles thing lately, but seriously I can't help it. And it isn't just due to the recent fashion trend of designers putting ruffles on everything. I recently went shopping in my closet and noticed just how many ruffle things I purchased in the last two years - well before all these ruffle shennanigans began.

Clearly I need to branch out so for Christmas, I gave myself this pretty little thing.

Oh it is glorious in person! There is rouching all around the waist which is slimming and comfortable and the polka dots just make me squeal with delight.
I also got this last year from Ann Taylor Loft and adore it. A bit short to wear to work (sadly) but absolutely perfect for summer casualwear.

Oooh I forgot all about this from Banana Republic.

And I want need this:

And this:
But then I remember the advice that I often give RT when it comes to using studio effects on his songs - sparingly. Right now my closet looks like a ruffle factory exploded - no need to overdo it with the polka dots as well.  So this is a good compromise, right?

No?

But, look the polka dots are only on the sash. I bet the sash is even removable! No one would even know that the blouse involved polka dots.

Okay, how about a compromise - I get to stalk these three items online and do the sale dance for them and you can use four - no, wait - three studio effects on your forthcoming album.

Three studio effects including lowering your voice electronically?

Eh - how about two studio effects including lowering your voice electronically and I get to stalk two of those items online and do the sale dance for them. And the third blouse has to be one of the two. Deal?

Deal.

Works for me (because you and I both know that RT won't be able to stop himself from using at least five studio effects so I'll be free to bask in polka dotted glory as much as I want!)

  1. hahaha....yay for polka dots! I really like that Anthro skirt, too. It seems like it could be a nice print to mix things up, but not too crazy that it wouldn't go with a lot of tops. I am going to wish my life away each week just waiting till Tuesday sales. lol. :)
